What a wonderful time in the life of our Church - Vacation Bible School !

The halls and classrooms of the church were full of children and leaders. If the walls could talk, they would tell you of Bible stories, and skits. Of singing and dancing. Of Peter in prison. Of games involving lots of water and ice cubes for hot evenings ! Of snacks and cool drinks. Of poisonous snakes. Of crafts involving lots of markers and a little bit of glue. Of shouting to the north and the south. Of Paul caught in a storm at sea. Of a little confusion, and lots of running. Of Pastor's Barry's telephone call to a dolphin. Of old friend and new one. Of praising the Lord !

This year's Vacation Bible School was attended by an average of 26 children and 20 leaders each evening. The children were our own. They were friends. They were neighborhood kids. The leaders were all faithful servants of Grace Church. What an outreach in every direction - to those within our family and to those outside our family !

Together, we traveled the high seas all over the world in search of God's love. We rolled with the waves. Felt the sea spray. Heard sails snap in the winds. And we made our vast voyage with YOUR help. It's a small thing....$5. An even smaller thing...a box of crackers. And yet, without your 5 dollars, or your 10. Without your box of crackers or cookies, or cool whip cheese watermelon paper plates Jello veggie dip grapes plastic cups m&m's pretzels pineapple lays stixs napkins marshmallows strawberries chips oh my! Without two or three hours of your time. Without your hammer, drill, your roll of tape. Without your assistance in so many different ways, the Board of Christian Education would never be able to undertake such a mission of giving and teaching.

Vacation Bible School has been an annual happening at Grace Church for so many years, and we hope for many more.
